Pemba Jangu Sherpa
Pemba Jangbu, born 1986, looks back to exeptional career in the Expedition Business. His father, also a well-known climber, placed him on his first trekking trip as a porter when he was fourteen. Since then he climbed Everest (8.850m) six times, Makalu (8.463m) two times, Cho Oyu (8.201m), Broad Peak (8.047m), K2 (861m) one time. Below 8000m he climbed Gyazhikang (7.038m) three times, Putha Hinchuli (7.246m) five times, Baruntse (7.238m), Ama Dablam (6.812m). Pemba Jangbu travelled almost erverywhere in Nepal and has been to Europe, India and several times to Tibet, China and Pakistan. Pemba Jangbu is a reponsible and charismatic leader and a perfect organizer. Thats why he became one oft he youngest sirdars within the Sherpa climbers community. He worked in this function on over 50 climbing expeditions. Pemba is very proud that his death balance is still at zero under his leadership. His main goal is to keep that balance. In the last years Pemba let many expeditions for the former Nepali market leader Thamserku. He was highly requested by reknown clients like AMICAL etc.. During his time he found out many things he wanted to optimize that was the key motivation for founding his own company. Pemba Jangbu has huge network of friends throughout Nepal varying from pilots to climbing sherpas, from airline agents to tibetan yak drivers and from diplomats to businessmen. Funuru Sherpa
Funuru is the academic educated counterpart of the expedition proven sirdar Pemba Jangbu. Also grown up in Khumbus Dudh Khosi Valley. Funuru only joined trekking groups from time to time during holidays but learned proper English and German instead. Funuru made a degree in Tourism Management at Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu.
He has been working in two successful Trekking companies before being responsible for the B2B business with well-known international partners. There he made connections and found ways to speed up processes in Kathmandus temples of bureaucracy. Funuru has travelled to Europe several times that’s why he understands the demands of our clients and always finds the best solutions. No matter it is an effort able, quiet and good located hotel, permits for small expeditions into Tibet or an emergency flight from Kanchenjunga to Kathmandu. In addition, Funurus love for Nepal extends passed the mountains to the people. He works as a volunteer for a nonprofit organization "Empower Nepali Girls." Helping empower and support neglected, marginalized, and at-risk girls and young women in Nepal.
Hannes Künkel
Hannes calls Nepal his second home. He is a good friend of Pemba Jangbus and Funurus family. Hannes looks back to nine years of academic himalaya research as a Geographer at the University of Goettingen, he participated two 8000m expeditions as a film team leader and thousands of hiking kilometers as group leader or just on his own.
